Affordable chic at Mimosa Boutique/Mimo for Men in Fort Lauderdale

 

Mimosa Boutique/Mimo for Men is a seven-year old unisex boutique that sells stylish and inexpensive pieces for men and women. Located in a cute little enclave with stores and restaurants, this boutique appeals to a young audience looking for style on a budget. 

Taking a cue from the warm weather of South Florida, the boutique's new spring line offers airy tops with sheer, mesh backs and side panels that are cool, in both senses of the word. The women's clothing comes in neutral, pretty colors like lavender and sherbet and its great for stylish young girls.

The boutique also has accessories, like cool cuffs and necklaces that have edge and are great for street fashionable girls. They have large, monochrome bags in bright colors like aqua and pink that will stand out with any outfit and carry a lot.






As for the men's side of the small boutique, which is located in the back, it offers boldly colorful pieces for guys that want to get noticed, like a cobalt blue button-down with paisley silk cuffs and collar detailing.

They also offer different suit jackets that aren't typical tuxedo fare, such as a grey piece with red thread stitched through 3/4 of the collar in an artistic design.

And here customers get a personalized experience from shop owner, Blake. Shoppers can have a glass of wine or champagne while they try on clothes hand-picked by Blake after he gets a sense of their style. Blake has a humorous, easy manner and will make you feel like he's your pal helping you shop.



















But just in case you think that it costs big bucks to look fashionable, that isn't the case here.

"Many people think of boutiques as pricey but you can get the same cool clothes that you would buy at the mall here for affordable prices," said Blake.

Pricing is from $30-$150 at this boutique which isn't bad considering the high-end look of the clothing.  It has received contrasting reviews by a couple customers.

Mimosa Boutique/Mimo for Men has events through out the year, such as shopping parties, and fund raises for causes like leukemia, lymphoma and breast cancer.
